La Leche League International was established in 1956. Their mission "is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother to mother support, encouragement, information and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby of mother". The Hospital For Sick Children ---Motherisk

Motherisk offers evidence based information about the safety or risk of drugs, chemicals, and disease during pregnancy and lactation. The Doulas of North America is the oldest, largest doula association in the world. A international, not for profit organization that promotes continuing education for doulas and provides a strong communication link among doulas and between doulas, families and the medical birthing community.
